Support the DREAM Act and the American Hope Act In Solidarity with United We Dream.
This coming Tuesday, August 15th, Indivisible Guide is partnering with United We Dream to stand up with immigrants in local actions at dozens of cities across the country. Visit https://actionnetwork.org/event_campaigns/defend-daca… to find (or add!) an event near you.
ACTIONS:
1. Call Senator Patty Murray (253-572-3636) and Senator Maria Cantwell (253-572-2281) and ask them to co-sponsor the bipartisan Durbin-Graham “DREAM Act” (S. 1615). This bill will create a legislative fix to the predicament of these young Americans and take their future out of Trump’s hands. 2. Call Congressman Denny Heck (360-459-8514) in District 10 or Congresswoman Jaime Herrera Beutler (360-695-6292) in District 3 and ask them to cosponsor and support Rep. Gutierrez’s American Hope Act (H.R. 3591) to give those with DACA and others who arrived in the United States as children a path to permanent legal status and eventual citizenship.
