A celebration of Tom Noglers life on Saturday, February 1, 2020,
February 1 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm PST
I have known Tom and his brothers almost 60 years . We will be asking for donations at the event to cover Funeral ,Hospital and Memorial costs for our dear Friend Tom Nogler . He was in his element whether planting trees, running a progressive Public Power Campaign or the Family sawmill . Tom will always be remembered in efforts in organizing for hundreds just causes for the good community. He worked with Safe place and Heart Sparkle Playback Theater for victims of Domestic violence . He died Saturday at St Peters Hospital 1-4-20 at 9:50 PM . He had suffered a heart attack while cutting firewood with a friend earlier in the same morning .Rest in Peace dear Friend ! Yours , Kim Dobson Jainine Gates wrote this truth about Tom : Yes, he was a tireless community organizer and supporter of many political and social campaigns. He advocated for good causes. He volunteered and doorbelled for many political candidates, including my campaign when I ran for city council in 2009. He worked on the Thurston Public Power campaign, instrumental in getting that effort as far as it did. He delivered newsletters on the Eastside for the Eastside Neighborhood Association for many years, being a friendly greeter and neighbor everyone came to know. He spoke in front of city council on police/community issues and relations. He was a good son who took care of both his parents until they passed away. He was a good friend with a soft voice you could always call on if you were in need.He will be greatly missed.Janine Gates https://www.facebook.com/events/990040024716114/
