Biostimulant Bounty w/ Jeff Merryman

August 24 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm PDT

We invite you to join us for a free introductory class on natural farming techniques utilizing biostimulant farming solutions. Learn how to produce nature’s bounty in your garden or farm utilizing low-cost agricultural inputs. A variety of natural farming disciplines have been around for millennia, however, the “Green Revolution” interrupted these practices around the world. Slowly our entire food web has crumbled apart as we have moved further away from sustainable farming and regenerative agriculture. What can be done to improve this scenario? One answer can be found by utilizing regenerative agriculture, which improves the ecosystem beyond organic practices alone.

This one hour class will be taught by our co-founder, Jeff Merryman. Jeff has extensive training in natural farming has traveled to Korea to become certified directly by Master Cho, who is the founder of Korean Natural Farming. Jeff will be presenting an introduction to natural farming biostimulants, which will include a demonstration on how to make LABS (Lactic Acid Bacteria Serum) at home. LABS should be considered a probiotic for your garden or farm. When applied to crops it helps keep everything healthier and pathogen-free. Utilize LABS for battling Powdery Mildew and mold.

What are plant biostimulants?

Plant biostimulants have been identified in the 2018 Farm Bill. Under Section 10111 ‘‘plant biostimulant’’ is defined “to be a substance or micro-organism that, when applied to seeds, plants, or the rhizosphere, stimulates natural processes to enhance or benefit nutrient uptake, nutrient efficiency, tolerance to abiotic stress, or crop quality and yield.
