Clean Fuel Standard Hearing
February 5 @ 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm PST
The Puget Sound Clean Air Agency (PSCAA) is currently considering a clean fuel standard for its four-county region. A clean fuel standard sets a limit on the greenhouse gas emissions from transportation fuels, limiting harmful air pollution in the process. California’s clean fuel standard will contribute to over $8 billion in healthcare cost savings by 2025, and Washington is the only West Coast state without a policy on the books.Leading medical organizations like the Washington State Medical Association and the Washington Academy of Family Physicians have passed resolutions supporting clean fuels due to its climate and health benefits.
