Join Sierra Club’s Public Lands Group for a Zoom screening of DamNation on May 13 at 6:30pm! Tune in on your own device, from the comfort of your home. Afterwards, stick around for discussion with Sierra Club staff, volunteers, and folks new to the issue of river restoration.
This film features two rivers right here in Washington State – the story of revival on the Elwha River on the north end of the Olympic Peninsula, and the ongoing battle to restore the Snake River and allow salmon runs to return to native spawning grounds in central Idaho in their historic numbers.
From Patagonia and the producers of DamNation: DamNation is a film odyssey that explores the sea change in our national attitude from pride in big dams as engineering wonders to the growing awareness that our own future is bound to the life and health of our rivers. It was produced by Patagonia in association with Stoecker Ecological & Felt Soul Media Production. Read more about the documentary here:
