REMEMBERING FLOYD/ PROTEST FOR BLM

June 5 @ 6:00 pm - June 6 @ 12:00 am PDT

The oppression that black people have endured for the last hundreds of years has positioned them to be mistreated, brutally murdered, incarcerated etc. On Friday, not only will we be remembering our gentle giant George Floyd, but we will support our black lives and give power and purpose to the ones we’ve lost. Their lives will not be forgotten!
We will gather in peace at the Capitol Building. As much as we respect the cause and understand the impact and grievances of those who are affected by police brutality and systemic oppression, it is imperative to respect the buildings and small businesses inhabiting downtown Olympia.
I would hope that us fellow Olympians can become a building block in our advance towards equality and world peace. Let’s be on the right side of history!
