March 6 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm PST

Join Tacoma DSA and UW’s Prof. James Gregory for a special presentation on the reissue of Robert Freidheim’s classic history of the 1919 Seattle General Strike. Jim will be joining us at King’s Books at 6pm, before TDSA’s regular monthly meeting, for a reading followed by a discussion. Copies of the new book will be available, including a new introduction, photo essay, and afterward by Prof. Gregory.

He is the author of numerous articles and prize-winning books, including The Southern Diaspora: How the Great Migrations of Black and White Southerners Transformed America and American Exodus: The Dust Bowl Migration and Okie Culture in California.

Most recently, the University of Washington Press published The Seattle General Strike: Centennial Edition with an introduction, photo essay, and afterword by James Gregory.
