Tenants Of The South Sound Launch Meeting
March 2 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm PST
Does your rent keep going up? Does your landlord refuse to return your deposit or make repairs? Are you unsure about your rights as a renter, and need someone you can trust to listen and stand with you?
Come together with Tenants of the South Sound on Saturday March 2 from 2:00 to 4:00 at The United Churches of Olympia (110 11th Ave SE, Olympia) to discuss these and other issues facing renters in Olympia, Lacey, and Tumwater at the Tenants’ Convention.
All tenants are welcome: bring your needs, your voice, and your ideas. Our agenda is set by our members and will include, but is not limited to:
• Educating tenants about their rights
• Organizing against evictions and rent increases
• Helping tenants find and move into new housing
• Representing tenants in meetings with their landlord/management
• Lobbying local and state government for legal tenants’ protections
Tenants of the South Sound is a new grassroots tenants’ union committed to fighting back against gentrification, discrimination, and exploitation. Together, we can tip the balance for tenants in the South Sound and secure good living conditions for all.
