The Legacy of White Supremacy in American Christianity: Robert Jones, PRRI

November 10 @ 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm PST

NOTE: If needed, in addition to the link above, the passcode is Swope2020 – thanks!
The Swope Lectures welcome Dr. Robert Jones, the Founder and CEO of the Public Religion Research Center, back to campus – virtually – to offer our Fall Lecture. Dr. Jones will draw from his most recent book, “White Too Long: The Legacy of White Supremacy in American Christianity” to engage us in conversation about the complicated web of politics, race, and religion in the United States.
The Swope Lectures are free and open to all campus and community members.
Q&A will be facilitated by Swope Committee member Eliana Yatskowitz ’22, including both prepared questions and those curated through the “chat” function during the lecture. You may also submit advance questions for Dr. Jones (or about the event) to chaplain@pugetsound.edu.
To purchase a copy of the book, we invite you to visit the Puget Sound Bookstore at https://eposweb-528.sequoiars.com/ePOS?form=shared3/gm/merch.html&item_number=W43563&cat=18&store=528&design=528.
