Value-Added Food Processing Workshop

Processing fruits and vegetables into value-added products can improve a farm’s net profitability by extending the marketing season and by opening the door to higher-value markets. Participants will learn about: Licensing requirements for food processors and food processing facilities from WSDA and Thurston County staff; Available processing facilities in Thurston County; WSU Extension research on the market opportunities for processed frozen fruits and vegetables.
