Olympia, Washington

The Longhouse at Evergreen is the first of its kind built on a college campus in the United States. Our mission is to support Indigenous arts and cultures.
The Evergreen Longhouse, known as sgʷigʷialʔtxʷ—The House of Welcome, provides the opportunity to build a bridge of understanding between tribes of the Pacific Northwest and visitors of all cultures.
The primary public service work of the Longhouse is to promote Indigenous arts and cultures through education, cultural preservation, creative expression and economic development.
